The first meeting of the LI project industry steering group discussed what safety leading indicators could be used in the construction industry to inform their practice on construction sites, some of the key practical challenges in doing so, and the extent to which they are used currently. The workshop on the 18th is the second meeting of the industry steering group and is considering the practicalities of using lead indicators as part of business as usual operations on construction sites, in particular, how objective measures could be generated from routine operational data for those indicators identified by the first workshop and in the absence of such data, what new data would need to be collected.
